There is nothing like returning to a place that remains unchanged to find the ways in which you yourself have been altered -Nelson Mandela

For me there is nothing like walking away from that place. My pace quick. With my chin up. As my steps are firm and confident on the ground. And I feel the distance grow between us. I am walking away from a place that once had a purpose for me. I got out of it what I needed. The people I met. The lessons I learned. The friendships I gained then lost. I am leaving it all behind. Who I was. It's nothing now but memories. I will keep the positive ones forever in my heart. And learn from the negative. So that when I return one day to visit. I will seem different. Older & Wiser.
